Tonk Classic 1.5.8

Tonk, also known as Tunk, is a variant of the knock rummy game played with a standard 52-card deck excluding jokers. In Tonk, picture cards hold a value of 10 points, aces are worth 1 point, and all other cards carry their face value.

The objective is to arrange your cards into spreads through drawing and discarding. Spreads can consist of either books of 3 or 4 cards of the same rank or runs of 3 or more cards in the same suit. Alternatively, players can eliminate their cards by adding them to existing spreads, a move known as "Hitting." Winning occurs when a player successfully discards all of their cards or possesses the lowest value of unmatched cards when a player halts the play.

The conclusion of the game can transpire in one of four ways:

1. One player discards all their cards without making a final discard, achieving what is commonly referred to as a "tonk" or by "tonking out."
2. A player exhausts their hand by discarding their last card, resulting in the player with no remaining cards emerging victorious as others pay the agreed-upon basic stake.
3. If a player drops, goes down, or knocks at the onset of their turn, all participants must reveal and total the values of their remaining hand.
4. Ending with 49 or 50 points immediately after the deal signals the end of the match.
